Only stayed here one night and was very pleased. Really nice staff and check-in, location is fine (though downtown Darwin isn't too big), the room was clean with a nice kitchenette and everything was perfectly quiet during the stay. I was given an upgraded room with a balcony overlooking the pool, nice place for a simple breakfast and coffee. Things aren't too cheap in Darwin and this was a comparative value. If I'm ever in Darwin again this will be my choice.

Darwin displays a cocktail of cultures from ‘Aussie larrikins’ to the local Aboriginals from Larrakia Country. Throw in an influx of international visitors who now call the Top End of Australia home, and this concoction bedazzles with busy outdoor markets and an adequate supply of drinking holes (pubs).
The modern Darwin Wharf precinct, including Stokes Hill Wharf, still gleams on those endless summer days having been rebuilt after the destruction caused both during World War II bombings and Cyclone Tracey. Grab a bar stool with a view of the harbour or a seat on a terrace and sip a cool drink in Australia’s northernmost, tropical capital city.
A popular time for tourists is Darwin’s dry season that starts in May and ends in October. If you prefer it hot and humid, then the end of the wet season can be spectacular when the waterfalls in Kakadu and Litchfield national parks are at their mightiest.
Australia’s wild frontier can be reached all the way from Adelaide and Alice Springs along the picturesque Stuart Highway that ends at Daly Street in the CBD. Outside the centre are the natural surrounds in Palmerston, Humpty Doo and closer by is Mindil Beach with its famous Sunset Market.
Darwin International Airport has international flights from Singapore and Bali. You can choose from a variety of hotels, hostels and apartments on Booking.com.
I think we picked the right time of year to visit Darwin.
I think we picked the right time of year to visit Darwin. There was very little humidity and the temperatures were perfect. The city had a lovely laid back feel to it and the lack of heavy traffic is a bonus. I would certainly return for a holiday and recommend Darwin to anybody.

Darwin appears to be a much more sophisticated city than one of 150,000 people. There are dozens of very good eating establishments, especially in the Waterfront area. We loved our week there, andvwould go back, again in the dry season.

Great visit. Mundila Sunset markets good.
Great visit. Mundila Sunset markets good. HOHO bus is okay, but doesn't make the most of itself. Harbour is good, family friendly and a nice beach/wave area. Good wartime exhibits and Royal Flying Doctor.

Darwin is a great place to base yourself if you would like to explore the Northern Territory. I used it as my base to do a jumping crocodiles tour on the Adelaide Rive, a two day visit to Kakadu National Park and also a day trip to Tiwi Island by ferry. There are many restaurants and shops in downtown Darwin that you can explore on foot. I went during the dry season in June so was able to avoid the rain and humidity and possible storms. I also enjoyed doing the wartime historical tour of Darwin which included the Darwin War Museum.

Darwin is great in the dry/box jellyfish free season.
Darwin is great in the dry/box jellyfish free season. Beware of some tour operators and read all reviews before booking. Be smart and it will be great. War museums and war places of interest are eye-opening, Lichfield and berry springs are awesome swimming places .

We enjoyed walking over to the Darwin Waterfront & the wharf , nice eating places. We took a local bus to the Mindell markets on Thursday night. The museum & art gallery which is free entry was amazing. Had displays and footage of cyclone Tracy. We got local bus to that as well. Definitely do the Fish & chips Sunset cruise & NT Barramundi 👌 Darwin is very relaxed pace. Lots of tours to Kakadu , Adelaide River, Lichfield, Military Museum & the oil storage tunnels. Enjoy the amazing sunsets.

If you want a family holiday and want to feel very unsafe anytime you leave the area. This place is perfect. Has bad smell and not clean.. local tell me it’s where all the back packers stay. We picked up and left after 1 night, left our money and went to the casino. Much more family friendly and a beautiful place. Darwin is a beautiful place just not this accommodation with a young family.
This was a lovely hotel with a large spacious room well air conditioned which you really need when visiting Darwin. Lovely wet room and very clean. Staff helpful and complimentary continental breakfast included. WiFi was brilliant especially as we are from overseas. Hotel ideally situated for restaurants, shoos and waterfront
these apartments are everything you need for a trip to Darwin/NT; including the perfect location. All amenities are catered for & the place feels homely, spacious and very quiet and clean. It’s exceptional for privacy and luxury. Also, the comfiest beds made for the cherry on top :) will stay again!
